Augmented reality can be used to showcase products or design solutions that cannot be displayed physically. All that is needed is a smartphone with an AR app installed that contains the relevant content.
As an example, here we have a model of SpaceX’s Raptor rocket engine superimposed in a living room. Annotations and animations can be added to AR objects to inform users about important parts and functions.
Augmented reality apps allow 3D models to be viewed from all angles. In this case, the rocket engine can be walked around without the model moving from its spot in the real world. The viewer can also get up and close to view certain aspects in greater detail.
